Transfiguration School’s Golf Team Shines at CYO Spring Golf Tournament

In a remarkable display of collaboration and sporting achievement, Transfiguration School’s first-ever golf team made its debut on March 24, 2024, at the CYO’s Spring Golf Tournament, supported by the unwavering commitment of IAFE United. Held at the scenic Arcadia Par3 Golf Course, the tournament drew over 250 participants, marking a historic milestone for both the school and its budding golfers.

Guided by the expertise of golf coach Leroy Bates, who has been nurturing their skills since September 2023, the team entered the tournament as individuals, ready to showcase their talent and determination on the course. Despite it being their first competitive outing, the students at Transfiguration School exhibited commendable performance and resilience throughout the event.

Among the standout performers was Emery English, who finished tied for 2nd place in her flight, demonstrating her skill and composure under pressure. Additionally, Chloe Rosado secured a respectable seventh-place finish in the Girl’s Blue Division, further highlighting the team’s depth and potential.

On the boys’ side, Braden Hamilton’s tied 14th place finish, alongside his brother Bryson Hamilton and the youngest team member, Bradley Moore, who finished tied at 21st place, showcased the collective talent and determination of Transfiguration School’s golfers.

The CYO Spring Golf Tournament not only provided an avenue for competition but also served as a platform for personal growth and camaraderie among the participants. For the students at Transfiguration School, it was a momentous occasion that marked the beginning of their journey in the world of competitive golf.
