Los Angeles, CA — October 2024 – IAFE United is proud to announce its partnership with Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School (HNOJ) located in the West Adams District of Los Angeles. Starting this October, IAFE United will introduce its popular soccer and golf programs to the student body, further enhancing the school’s commitment to providing enriching educational and extracurricular experiences.
Principal Marilyn Ross Cedeno, JD, expressed her excitement for the new offerings, noting how the programs align with her vision of making HNOJ a “learning institution that cultivates, shapes, and enriches this generation, as well as the next generation of learners.” The collaboration with IAFE United, which integrates sports with a life skills curriculum, offers students a dynamic environment where they can develop not only their athletic abilities but also their inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience.
“By engaging students in active learning experiences, we’re empowering them to face life’s challenges fearlessly,” Cedeno said. “The introduction of these new afterschool programs will give our students the opportunity to grow both academically and personally, ensuring they’re prepared for a bright future.”
IAFE United’s mission of promoting Freedom and Equality Through Education is at the heart of this partnership. By providing high-quality afterschool programs to youth who may not otherwise have access to them, IAFE United creates opportunities for success in all aspects of life, from the classroom to the playing field. This initiative at HNOJ will not only enhance the students’ physical and mental well-being but also foster a sense of community and achievement.
